Miss Earth India Hemal Ingle to Debut with a Marathi Movie

It is not uncommon to see beauty pageant winners turning to cinema to shape their career further. While the Indian film industry has welcomed them with open arms, they, in turn, have contributed to the growth of this industry in more than one ways. The finest examples of this would be Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai who have expanded their horizons beyond India and fetched a name for us in Hollywood as well.

The latest beauty pageant to join the film industry is Miss Earth India, Hemal Ingle. Born and raised in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Hemal is now making her foray into the world of acting with an upcoming Marathi movie, Aas.

Written, directed and produced by Manoj Vishe, Aas will have Hemal in the lead role. The director is all praises for the actress-in-the-making and finds her a perfect blend of beauty and brains. According to him, Hemal didn’t have any issues debuting with a small time Marathi film despite holding a beauty pageant title.

Though this is her first time in front of the camera, she managed it elegantly and didn’t have much of a problem. Manoj is of the view that Hemal is already showing signs of a successful actress and has an immense potential.

Hemal won the Miss Earth India competition conducted at Delhi to represent our nation in Miss Earth World in USA. She was chosen from among the 40 participants, 5 being from Maharashtra and 35 others from various parts of India.

Aas, produced under the banner of ‘Swarnaaf Creations’, will see a theatrical release soon. We wish Hemal a bright and successful career ahead and hope she makes India proud, just like her former counterparts.
