Rohit Shetty presented a Hindi version of this movie in Golmaal Returns, which was a laugh riot. The film was well received like its prequel and boasted of some top stars like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arshad Warsi besides others.

Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi

This 1989 creation was reproduced in Hindi as Paying Guests a couple of decades later. It had Javed Jaffrey, Shreyas Talpade, Vatsal Seth, and Aashish Chaudhary in the lead roles.

Dombivali Fast

R. Madhavan played the lead in the Tamil remake of Dombivali Fast. The film was titled Evano Oruvan and released in 2007.

Urmila Kanitkar was roped in for the original movie as well as the Telugu remake, Welcome Obama, of Mala Aai Vhhaychy. The Marathi drama was based on surrogacy and went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film (Marathi).

Duniyadari

Boasting a successful run of 100 days in theatres, this Marathi film was remade in Kannada as Noorondu Nenapu and also saw a Gujarati version titled Duniyadari.

This love story got a makeover in Telugu with Srikanth, Uttej, and Sreemukhi playing the lead. It was titled Andhra Pori in Telugu.

Starring Swapnil Joshi, Prarthana Behere, and Sonali Kulkarni, Mitwaa was a superhit in Maharashtra and saw its remake as Ami Je Ke Tomar in Bengali.
